Mens Riding Boots

Long boots (Montana, Andalucia, Dakota) reach to below the knee and are the standard choice for in-saddle riding. The Montana and Andalucia are traditional riding boots suited to shows, hacking, and equestrian use. The Dakota is the waterproof long option, better for country and yard work where all-day dryness matters.

Jodhpur boots (Idaho Storm, Idaho Jodhpur, Kentucky Storm) are quicker on and off and work well for yard work, horse care, and daily use. The Idaho Storm and Kentucky Storm are waterproof; the Idaho Jodhpur is the breathable non-waterproof version for drier riding days.

Ankle boots (Bronx, Buffalo) are the most casual options — suited to country walks and light outdoor use. Neither is waterproof, but both are breathable and hard-wearing.

The Montana, Andalucia, Idaho Jodhpur, Bronx, and Buffalo are not waterproof. All are made from leather and offer some natural resistance to light damp but are not suited to sustained wet conditions.

Both are long riding boots with a sheepskin insole, Therma-tex lining, and full-length OPTI zip. The key difference is fit flexibility.

The Montana comes in fixed standard and wide calf sizes, with a steel shank for stirrup support. Available in Black, Blue, and Brown.

The Andalucia adds an adjustable rear lace giving up to 3.5cm of extra calf width — useful if you fall between standard and wide, or if breeches add bulk. Available in Black and Brown, and in the made-to-measure programme for non-standard leg dimensions.

Neither is waterproof — if you need a waterproof long boot, the Dakota is the alternative.

Both share the same front-zip jodhpur profile, Cambrella-lined insole, and spur rests. The difference is waterproofing: the Idaho Storm has a WilTex® waterproof membrane with sealed zip for yard work and wet conditions; the Idaho Jodhpur has a breathable leather lining and no waterproof membrane, making it the choice for drier riding days where breathability is the priority.

Wide fit is available on the Montana (long), Andalucia (long), Dakota (long), and Quebec (mid-calf). The Andalucia also offers an adjustable lace for riders between standard and wide. The Idaho Storm, Idaho Jodhpur, Kentucky Storm, Bronx, Buffalo, and Rocky are standard fit only. For leg measurements outside the standard or wide range, the made-to-measure service offers the Georgia and Andalucia in men’s sizing with a leg built to your exact dimensions.

For in-saddle riding, the Montana or Andalucia are the most appropriate long boots — both reach the correct height and include a steel shank for stirrup support. For jodhpur-height riding, the Idaho Jodhpur or Idaho Storm are the better choices (both include spur rests). The Bronx and Buffalo are casual ankle boots not designed for riding.

Yes — the made-to-measure service offers the Georgia and Andalucia in men’s sizing with the leg crafted to your exact calf measurements. Lead times run 6–9 weeks and made-to-measure boots are non-refundable.

For long boots, the leg should sit snugly against the calf with about two fingers of room at the top, and allow roughly 1cm at the toe. If the leg is tight but the foot fits, try wide fit; if it is loose, the Andalucia's adjustable lace can compensate. For jodhpur and ankle boots, fit is closer to a standard shoe — firm around the ankle without pinching. New leather boots will soften and mould with wear, so a snug fit from new is normal.
