Waterproof Wide Calf Boots

Every boot in this collection uses STORMPROOF WIL-TEX® lining (called Wil-tex® membrane on the Dakota range), a waterproof and breathable barrier built into the boot rather than a spray-on treatment. It stops water getting in while letting moisture escape, so feet stay dry without overheating. This works best when the boot is kept below the top line of the shaft in water or deep mud – none of these are designed for submersion.

The Quebec Waterproof Boots and Quebec Waterproof Wool-Lined Zip Boots are cut generously through the calf as standard, with no separate wide-calf version needed. The Quebec Waterproof Ankle Boots and Quebec Waterproof Zip-Up Ankle Boots are ankle height, so they aren't a calf-width option – instead they offer a roomier foot feel, and the zip ankle helps a high instep & easier entry.

If you'd prefer the option to choose your exact calf width, the Dakota Waterproof Country Boots come in both Standard Calf and Extra Wide Calf fittings, so you can pick the one that fits properly rather than settling for one-size-fits-all.

Calf width isn't the only fit issue – a wide or high-instep foot needs room too. The Quebec Waterproof Zip-Up Mid Calf Boots and Quebec Waterproof Zip-Up Ankle Boots both use a full-length Opti Zip opening, making them a good choice if you find pull-on boots tight across the top of the foot or awkward with limited ankle mobility.

The Dakota Waterproof Country Boots are a classic lace-front country boot, best suited to yard work, dog walking and general country wear where you want a traditional look. The Quebec Waterproof Boots and Quebec Waterproof Zip-Up Mid Calf Boots sit at a similar mid-calf height but slip on or zip up rather than lace, so they're quicker to put on for everyday errands. The Quebec Waterproof Ankle Boots and Quebec Waterproof Zip-Up Ankle Boots are cut lower still, for when a full boot height isn't needed.

They're the same boot – identical Wil-tex® waterproofing, Duratread® outsole and Standard/Extra Wide Calf fit options – just offered in Brown or Blue depending on your preference.

Yes. All of these boots are built for wet, muddy conditions, with anti-slip outsoles for grip on uneven or slippery ground. The Dakota Waterproof Country Boots are the most traditional country boot in the range and suit yard and field use particularly well.

The Quebec Waterproof Wool-Lined Zip Boots are the warmest option, combining the usual waterproof lining with a shearling upper lining and wool thermal insole.

They should feel snug but not tight around the calf, with enough room to wear a normal sock comfortably. If you're between calf widths on the Dakota range, size up to the Extra Wide Calf fitting rather than sizing down, as these boots are not designed to be adjusted once bought.
