Several boots in this collection use a Stormproof Wil-Tex® waterproof, breathable membrane, including the Quebec Waterproof Boots, Dakota Waterproof Country Boots and Alaska Storm Waterproof Boots. These are the right choice if you're mucking out, walking dogs in the rain, or need boots that will genuinely keep water out.

The Montana, Graceland and Milan are not waterproof and are better suited to drier riding and everyday conditions.

The Montana Riding Boots and Dakota Waterproof Country Boots both offer a Wide Fit alongside Standard, with a moulded steel shank and Duratred/Duratread outsole built for time in and out of the saddle. If you prefer a Standard calf, the Graceland and Milan are classic field and dressage boots with a Vibram® sole.

For cold weather, look to the Quebec Waterproof Zip-up Wool Lined Boots and Alaska Storm Waterproof Boots, both finished with a cosy sheep wool or shearling lining as well as a waterproof membrane, so cold and wet weather are covered together.

If it's your foot rather than your calf that needs extra room, the Quebec Waterproof Zip Up Mid Calf Boots have a full-length Opti zip designed for a high instep, limited ankle mobility or a wider foot, making them easier to pull on than a standard slip-on style.

Some are and some aren't. The Quebec, Dakota and Alaska ranges all use a Stormproof Wil-Tex® waterproof, breathable membrane. The Montana, Graceland and Milan are not waterproof, so check the table above before you buy if this matters for how you'll wear them.

The Graceland and Milan are cut as a Standard Fit throughout, with a side stretch gusset for a small amount of adjustment rather than a full Wide Fit.

Both come in Standard and Wide Fit and are built for riding, but the Dakota is fully waterproof with a Wil-Tex® membrane, while the Montana uses a moisture-wicking membrane and natural sheepskin insole rather than a waterproof lining. Choose the Dakota if you need genuine wet weather protection, and the Montana for its sheepskin comfort.
