The Quebec and the Rocky are both waterproof mid-calf pull-on boots, but they suit different walkers.

The Quebec is a broader, more traditional country boot — available in Standard and Wide Fit, across multiple entry styles (pull-on ankle, pull-on mid-calf, zip ankle, zip mid-calf, and wool-lined). If you need wide fit, want warm lining, or prefer to choose between pull-on and zip entry, the Quebec range gives you the most options.

The Rocky (Brown and Copper) is a lighter, slightly slimmer boot in Standard Fit. It doesn't have the wide-fit option or the range of entry styles, but the lighter build is a genuine advantage on longer walks — a heavier boot can become tiring over several miles, and the Rocky is noticeably less weighty than the Quebec. Short (Ottawa Storm): the most compact and quickest to get on — fine for shorter walks in damp conditions, but not suitable if you have a high instep and not ideal if you're crossing areas with standing water or deep mud.

Ankle (Quebec Ankle pull-on or zip): faster to put on than a mid-calf boot and covers more of the ankle than the Ottawa Storm. Good for mixed walks where conditions are variable.

Mid-calf (Quebec pull-on or zip mid-calf, Rocky, Chicago): the most versatile height for most country walks — enough coverage for typical muddy ground and wet lanes without restricting the stride. Most are Standard Fit; the Quebec is also in Wide.

Knee height (Vermont Storm — Black and Brown): for the muddiest walks, wet fields or coastal paths where water could come over a shorter boot. The Vermont Storm is the tallest boot in this collection and comes in both Black and Brown.

The Quebec Wool-Lined is the mid-calf pull-on Quebec with a wool lining — warm, waterproof and available in Wide Fit. Good for cold winter walks where both feet getting wet and feet getting cold are concerns.

The Rocky Winter (Mocha) is the Rocky with a warm lining — lighter than the Quebec Wool-Lined, which can be a real advantage on longer walks in cold weather where boot weight becomes a factor.

For all other boots, a good wool or thermal sock is the most effective way to add warmth without affecting the waterproof performance. Layering socks also works well with the Quebec pull-on if you have a slightly wider calf.
