If you need genuine weatherproofing, four styles in this sale are confirmed waterproof: the Idaho Storm and Chatsworth (both Wil-Tex®/WilTex® waterproof membrane with a sealed zip or gusset), the Blair Storm (Wil-Tex® membrane with a gusseted lace system), and the Malvern short boot (waterproof membrane throughout). Everything else in the table, including the Montana and Andalucia, uses a moisture-wicking lining rather than a waterproof membrane — fine for damp mornings in the yard, but not built for standing in wet fields all day.

Long boots — the Montana, Nebraska, Andalucia, Graceland, Georgia and Milan — cover the full leg and are the traditional choice for riding, giving more contact with the saddle and a smarter look for shows or dressage. Jodhpur boots — the Idaho, Idaho Storm, Chatsworth, Blair and Bramham — sit at the ankle and are worn with jodhpur clips or half chaps. They’re quicker to get on and off and better suited to everyday yard work, hacking and travelling.

If a standard calf feels tight, the Andalucia offers the most adjustment in this sale, with a full-leg lace system giving up to 3.5cm of extra width plus a rear stretch gusset. The Montana is also available in a wider calf fitting alongside its standard version. For a fit that adjusts on the go rather than a fixed wide cut, the Idaho Storm, Chatsworth, Blair Storm and Bramham jodhpur boots all use an adjustable zip, lace or stretch-panel system instead of a fixed wide-calf pattern.

Because these are reduced-price and clearance lines, not every size or colour is available in every style — the Malvern, for example, is down to a single UK 11. Check the size guide on each product page before ordering, and if you’re between sizes we’d generally suggest sizing down for jodhpur boots and true to size for long boots. Once a size sells out in the sale it won’t be reordered, so it’s worth checking stock levels on the product page rather than waiting.

No. Only the Idaho Storm, Chatsworth, Blair Storm and Malvern are confirmed waterproof with a membrane lining. The rest use breathable or moisture-wicking linings, which help with comfort but won’t keep your feet dry in prolonged wet weather.

The Montana and Andalucia are both available in a wider calf fitting. The Andalucia also has a full-leg lace system for up to 3.5cm of additional adjustment if you need it.

Both use a Wil-Tex® waterproof membrane and an adjustable fit, but the Idaho Storm has a front cushioned zip with a Cambrella-lined insole, while the Chatsworth uses a gusseted zip system with a gel IMPACT insole for extra shock absorption. Either is a solid wet-weather choice — it largely comes down to which fastening and footbed feel suits you best.

You should be able to fit a finger down the back of the boot with your foot fully in, and the calf should sit close without pinching behind the knee when bent. If you’re unsure between two calf widths, check each product’s size guide, as fit varies slightly between long boots and jodhpur boots.
