The Idaho Jodhpur Boots use a breathable leather lining and are best kept for dry yard work or fair-weather riding. Everything else in this collection – the Idaho Storm, Chatsworth Storm, Kentucky Storm and Blair Storm – uses a Wil-Tex®/WilTex® waterproof membrane with a sealed zip or gusseted lace system, so your feet stay dry through wet fields, muddy yards and rain.

The Kentucky Storm uses a fully adjustable lace system, so you can set the fit around your width, instep and preferred level of ankle support – this makes it the most flexible option for wider or narrower calves. The Chatsworth Storm, Blair Storm and Idaho Storm all use an adjustable zip or gusset for a bit of give, while the standard Idaho is a simple fixed zip best suited to average calf widths.

For rain, mud and wet yards, choose from our Storm range. The Chatsworth Storm and Blair Storm both offer 360° weather protection with a Wil-Tex® membrane and moisture-wicking lining, while the Kentucky Storm adds fully adjustable laces on top of the same waterproof membrane. The Idaho Storm keeps things simple with a sealed zip and WilTex® lining if you'd rather not deal with laces.

All five styles include a supportive shank in the sole to reduce foot fatigue over long riding sessions.

Most of them, yes. The Idaho Storm, Chatsworth Storm, Kentucky Storm and Blair Storm all use a Wil-Tex®/WilTex® waterproof membrane. The standard Idaho Jodhpur Boots are not waterproof and use a breathable leather lining instead, so they're better suited to dry conditions.

The Kentucky Storm is the most adjustable option thanks to its fully adjustable lace system, letting you fit it around a wider or narrower calf and instep. The Chatsworth Storm, Blair Storm and Idaho Storm also offer some adjustment through their zip or gusset.

Both are fully waterproof with a Wil-Tex® membrane and memory foam X-comfort insole. The main difference is how they fasten: the Kentucky Storm uses fully adjustable laces with a side zip for easy on/off, while the Blair Storm uses a simpler adjustable zip closure without laces.

They should feel snug around the ankle with no pinching or slipping at the heel, and enough room in the foot for a standard riding sock. If you have a high instep, avoid the Chatsworth Storm and look at an adjustable-lace or zip-adjustable style instead.
