Bareback Footwear FAQ

What size should I choose?

We can provide bespoke sizing advice over the phone or you can follow the size indicator and size guide provided in the description.

It is important to note that shoe sizing can vary significantly between brands and styles. Therefore, your usual shoe size may fluctuate.

If you've tried on the boots and they fit perfectly, then theoretically, the size indicated on the label shouldn't matter.

If the boots are noticeably too large, it's advisable to prioritise foot comfort and consider changing the size. While insoles and thick socks can be used to adjust for shoes that are too big, it's always preferable to find the ideal fit initially.

Some individuals prefer using additional insoles to achieve the perfect fit, especially if they have narrow feet or need orthotic arch support.

Insoles can greatly enhance fit and accommodate narrow feet. Once you've inserted your insole, ensure that the shoe fits correctly in all the right places. It's recommended to place an additional insole beneath our x-comfort insole to maintain the added comfort.

If your boots have a removable insole and you have a wide foot or a high instep, it might be necessary to remove the insole to create more space to maneuver your foot around the ankle. This adjustment significantly impacts the internal volume of the boot. It's advisable to keep hold of your thick X-Comfort insoles; in most cases, when the leather stretches, they can be comfortably reinserted

When faced with a choice between sizes, particularly as the boots are crafted from soft leather, opting for the smaller size is suggested. However, it's crucial to bear in mind that boots that are too small can lead to discomfort, so trying the size up may be advisable if needed.

Is it simple to return my boots?

Yes, returning your boots is incredibly straightforward. We provide a free Royal Mail label to all UK customers for your convenience. This makes the return process hassle-free, particularly if the boots don't fit perfectly.

We offer a 45-day refund period for items purchased directly from us and a 60-day exchange period. If the items are not returned to us in the same condition they were sent out to you in, unfortunately, we will not be able to process the refund or exchange.

Are Bareback Boots suitable for men?

Yes, the Bareback Boots are indeed suitable for men. These boots are designed to be unisex, making them suitable for both men and women.

When selecting your size, it's recommended to stick to your typical shoe size for a snug fit or to size up if you have wider feet.

Are Bareback Boots fully waterproof?

Boots from our waterproof collection, identified by 'waterproof' in their name, are indeed fully waterproof.

The addition of a waterproof membrane is the sole method to achieve waterproofing in leather boots.

Consequently, boots lacking this membrane provide superior breathability, are lighter in weight, and are best suited for drier weather conditions.
