All Roxy boots fasten with an inside YKK metal zip and a rear pull tab, so they're quick to get on and off without wrestling with laces. We recommend going up a size from your other Bareback Footwear, as the suede and waxed leather uppers are quite fitted. If you're between sizes, size up rather than down.

Every Roxy has a cushioned moulded insole and a breathable fabric lining, with contrast stitching to the footbed for a bit of detail underfoot. It's a comfortable everyday boot rather than a technical walking boot, so it's best suited to daily wear, dog walking on dry ground, and casual outings rather than long hikes.

Honestly — no. The Roxy is built with suede or waxed leather uppers and a breathable fabric lining, with no waterproof membrane. Suede in particular will mark in wet weather, so we'd treat these as a dry-day boot rather than something to wear in the rain or mud. A suede protector spray applied before first wear will help guard against light showers and everyday splashes.

The Navy, Grey, Sand and Brown colourways are all soft suede, giving a slightly matte, textured finish. The Waxed Leather option uses a nubuck waxed leather instead, which has a bit more sheen and is a touch more hard-wearing day to day, though it's still not waterproof. Both share the same sole, insole and zip fastening, so the choice really comes down to look and finish.

Treat suede with a protector spray before first wear, brush off dry dirt with a suede brush once it's fully dry, and avoid wearing them in heavy rain or on very wet ground, since suede marks easily when it gets soaked.
