Seconds and Sample SALE

Each product title tells you the model, colour and UK size of that specific pair, along with a reference number (e.g. "Factory Second 787b"). Read the product description for any notes on the exact imperfection where we've listed one. If you're at all unsure whether a fault will bother you, get in touch with our team before ordering – we're happy to describe the mark in more detail.

Because every pair in this collection is a one-off, we only ever have one size and one colour of each. We can't offer exchanges for a different size within the sale, so please check our standard size guide carefully against your usual Bareback fit before buying. If your size isn't shown for a model you like, it simply isn't in stock as a second or sample at the moment.

Yes. These boots are covered by our standard returns policy in the same way as any other order, so you can send a pair back if it doesn't fit or isn't right for you. The one thing we can't do is treat the noted cosmetic mark itself as a fault, since that's the reason the pair is in this sale in the first place.

Where the original full-price version of a model uses a waterproof membrane or lining, that construction is unchanged in the second or sample version – the cosmetic mark doesn't affect it. If a boot's description doesn't mention waterproofing, treat it as not waterproof, the same as you would with any other Bareback listing.

A second is a standard production boot with a minor cosmetic flaw. A sample is a pair originally made for design or fit testing, which may be from a colourway or style that never reached full production, or that has since been discontinued. Neither affects how the boot performs.

Not usually. Each pair here is a one-off, so once a size or colour sells out it's unlikely to be replaced. If you see your size, it's worth acting on it.

Because stock is limited to a single pair per size and colour, we generally can't offer a like-for-like exchange within this collection. You're welcome to return the boots under our standard returns policy and order a different size if we have it in stock.

Yes. The leather, soles and construction are identical to the full-price version of that model – only the cosmetic mark that put the pair into this sale sets it apart.

Check the individual product description. If it mentions a waterproof membrane or lining, that feature carries over from the full-price model. If it isn't mentioned, treat the boot as non-waterproof.
