Milan

The Milan is a Standard Fit boot, designed for an average calf width. The rear stretch gusset gives around 2cm of flex, so it can accommodate slight day-to-day changes in leg shape, but it isn't intended for wide or slim calf sizing - if you know you need extra room, it's worth trying a pair on before committing. The curved side zip and leather tab keep the boot sitting flat against the leg once fastened, and the high dressage cut is designed to sit neatly under breeches without gaping at the top.

Every Milan boot is fully lined in leather, which helps the boot breathe and keeps things comfortable over a long ride or a full day at the yard. The removable gel insole adds cushioning and shock absorption underfoot, and can be swapped out if you prefer your own insole or need a little extra support. The anti-slip rubber sole with its wood-composite detail is built to hold up to regular wear while still looking smart enough for the show ring.

The Milan is not a waterproof boot - there's no waterproof membrane in the construction, so it's best suited to dry yard work, lessons, hacking in fair weather, and competition use rather than muddy fields in the rain. If you're regularly out in wet conditions, we'd recommend treating the leather with a good quality waterproofing wax or spray and keeping a separate pair of wellies or waterproof boots for the wettest days.

As a fully leather-lined boot, the Milan benefits from regular cleaning and conditioning to keep the leather supple. Wipe off dirt after each wear, apply a leather cream or conditioner every few weeks, and avoid drying wet boots next to direct heat as this can cause the leather to crack. Store them upright, ideally with boot trees or shapers, to help them keep their form between rides.

No. The Milan does not have a waterproof membrane, so it's better suited to dry conditions than wet, muddy days. For wet weather we'd suggest treating the leather with a waterproofing wax or wearing a dedicated waterproof boot instead.

The Milan comes in Black, Brown and Blue. All three share the same fit, lining and sole - it's purely a matter of which colour suits your kit.

Currently the Milan is only made in a Standard Fit. The rear stretch gusset provides a small amount of flex, but if you need a wide or slim calf fitting specifically, it's worth checking our other riding boot styles or trying the Milan on first to confirm it's comfortable.

The Milan is currently a clearance style, meaning stock is limited and once sizes sell out they won't be restocked in this design. If you find your size, it's worth ordering sooner rather than later.

Each pair has a removable gel insole for cushioning and shock absorption. It can be taken out and replaced with your own insole if you prefer additional arch support.
