The Denver Boots and Malvern Waterproof Short Boots both use a genuine waterproof membrane, so they're built for wet ground, rain and general outdoor use. The Idaho Jodhpur Boots use a breathable leather lining rather than a waterproof membrane, so they're better suited to drier days in the yard or arena than standing about in the rain.

If you need a boot that will keep water out, the Denver Boots and Malvern Waterproof Short Boots are the two to watch in this sale. Both are reduced from their usual price and both use a waterproof membrane construction, though stock on these two is limited, so if your size shows as available it's worth acting on.

• Idaho Jodhpur Boots – breathable premium leather lining, removable Cambrella-lined insole, supported arched shank and an air release valve in the heel to absorb shock.
• Denver Boots – breathable Therma-Tex® membrane lining to help wick moisture away, removable Perlon footbed and gel-cushioned heel inserts for shock absorption.
• Malvern Waterproof Short Boots – removable X-Comfort insole with moisture-wicking and anti-bacterial properties for all-day wear.

Sale and clearance stock moves differently to our main range. The Idaho Jodhpur Boots are at full price but well stocked across sizes UK 3 to UK 7. The Denver Boots and Malvern Waterproof Short Boots are genuinely reduced, but availability is limited to the sizes shown on each product page, and both are currently sold out at time of writing. We'd recommend checking back if the size you need isn't showing, as sale stock can be replenished in small batches.

All three boots in this edit are ankle or short boots rather than full-height riding boots, so calf fit isn't a factor – fit is about foot length and width. The Idaho Jodhpur Boots use elasticated side panels and a cushioned front zip for an easy, close fit. The Denver Boots use twin elasticated ankle panels for the same reason. If you're between sizes on any of these, we generally recommend sizing up slightly, particularly if you plan to wear thicker socks in colder months.

Two of the three styles are. The Denver Boots use a W-Tex® waterproof membrane and the Malvern Waterproof Short Boots use a waterproof membrane throughout. The Idaho Jodhpur Boots are not waterproof – they use a breathable leather lining instead.

The Denver Boots and Malvern Waterproof Short Boots are both built with a waterproof membrane and are the better choice for rain, mud or yard work. The Idaho Jodhpur Boots are best kept for drier conditions.

Both are waterproof and both are reduced in this sale. The Denver Boots are a smart, brogue-detailed ankle boot in chestnut with a Duratread® sole, designed as a multi-purpose work boot. The Malvern Waterproof Short Boots use waxed nubuck leather and a DualGrip® outsole, and are pitched more as a general walking, yard or riding boot.

The Idaho Jodhpur Boots are included in this collection but are currently at their standard price rather than reduced. They're a well-stocked, dependable jodhpur boot in both black and brown across sizes UK 3 to UK 7.
