The Montana, Toddy, Franklin, Dixie and Barco ranges are not waterproof — they're better suited to dry yard work, everyday wear or occasions where you want the colour without the technical membrane.

If a standard calf fit feels tight, the Dakota Country Boots and Montana Riding Boots both come in Standard and Extra Wide calf fittings in blue. For maximum adjustability, the fully laced Kentucky, Chatsworth, Blair and Polar Storm boots use gusseted zips or full leg lacing, so you can fine-tune the fit to your own leg shape rather than choosing between two fixed widths.

For a wet yard or muddy field, choose one of our confirmed waterproof styles. The Polar Storm and Rocky boots add a genuine sheep wool lining for extra warmth on top of their Wil-Tex® membrane, making them a good choice for the coldest, wettest days. The Kentucky and Dakota boots are a lighter waterproof option for everyday yard use.

Tall boots such as the Kentucky, Chatsworth, Blair, Dakota, Rocky, Polar Storm and Montana should sit snugly around the ankle with enough room in the calf to wear normal riding or winter socks without pinching. If you're between calf widths on the Dakota or Montana, size up to the Extra Wide fit rather than down. The Toddy short boot fits true to size with a little room at the toe, as it isn't designed to be worn with thick socks. The Barco deck shoe is the exception — it fits generously, so if you're between sizes we'd recommend sizing down rather than up.
