These keep your feet comfortable in normal conditions, but they are not designed to be worn as wellingtons in standing water. The Kentucky in particular is a robust, well-built boot, but it does not have a waterproof membrane, so treat it as an everyday riding boot rather than a wet-weather boot.

If a standard calf fit feels tight, the Montana Riding Boots come in both standard and wide calf fittings, so you can pick the right width from the outset.

For more flexibility, the Andalucia Boots use a full-leg lace system giving up to 3.5cm of adjustable calf width, while the Kentucky Long Riding Boots use fully adjustable laces to suit standard through to wide calves and higher arches.
