Signature Boots

Four models in this collection are confirmed fully waterproof: the Kentucky Storm, Idaho Storm, Blair Storm and Chatsworth Storm boots, all built around a Wil-Tex or WilTex® waterproof membrane with a sealed zip or gusseted closure.

The Andalucia, Georgia, Milan, Dixie and Franklin styles are not waterproof and are better suited to dry yard work, hacking in fair weather, or smart and everyday wear rather than standing water.

If you need boots that will genuinely keep the weather out, look to the Storm range. The Kentucky Storm and Blair Storm use an adjustable lace or gusset system for a close fit around the ankle, while the Idaho Storm and Chatsworth Storm use a front zip for quick on-and-off in the rain.

The Andalucia Boots offer up to 3.5cm of adjustable calf width via a full leg lace system, making them a strong choice if you need a bit of extra room or prefer to fine-tune the fit yourself. The Storm range (Kentucky, Idaho, Blair and Chatsworth) also builds in adjustment through laces or a gusseted zip, so most feet find a comfortable fit without needing a specific wide-fit style.

Riding boots should sit close to the leg without pinching behind the knee when bent, with enough room in the foot for a normal riding sock. If you're between sizes on an adjustable-lace style such as the Andalucia or the Storm range, size to your foot length first and use the lacing or gusset to fine-tune the calf. The Chatsworth Storm is noted as best suited to average to low insteps – if you have a high instep, the Idaho Storm or Kentucky Storm may be a more comfortable choice.
